Rebuilding after Hurricane Helene will take years, US DHS secretary says, per Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The rebuilding process after Hurricane Helene will be extremely expensive and take years, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said on Tuesday.

Search and rescue operations are continuing in some areas, Mayorkas told reporters at the White House.
