Turkey stocks fall at close of trade; The BIST 100 was down 3.62% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, it fell 3.62% to hit a new 6-month low.

The best performers of the session on the were Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS: ), which rose 9.99% or 7.20 points to trade at 79.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Altinay Savunma Technologies AS (IS:) added 4.45% or 4.05 points to end at 95.00 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS: ) was up 3.58% or 0.78 points to trade at 22.56 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Adel Kalemcilik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS: ), which declined 8.65% or 3.20 points to trade at 33.80 at the close. Akbank TAS (IS: ) declined 8.33% or 4.80 points to end at 52.85 and Alfa Solar Energi AS (IS: ) declined 7.41% or 4.10 points to 51.20.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 511 to 58, with 10 ending unchanged.

Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS:) shares fell to 52-week lows; losing 7.41% or 4.10 to 51.20.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.73 percent, or 19.75, to $2,670.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery rose 0.80%, or 0.56, to $70.39 a barrel, while the December Brent crude contract rose 0.71% or 0.52, to 74.08 dollars per barrel.

USD/TRY rose 0.03% to 34.22, while EUR/TRY fell 0.10% to 37.78.

US dollar index futures rose 0.42% to 101.36.
