Netherlands stocks fall at close of trade; AEX was down 0.71% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Amsterdam, it was down 0.71%.

The best performers of the session were Shell PLC (AS: ), which rose 0.60% or 0.19 points to trade at 30.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Randstad NV (AS: ) added 0.37% or 0.16 points to end at 43.91 and Processed ( AS: ) was up 0.11% or 0.05 points to trade at 40.94 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Akzo Nobel NV ( AS: ), which declined 2.07% or 1.30 points to 61.42 at the close. Unilever PLC (AS: ) declined 1.75% or 1.02 points to end at 57.14 and IMCD NV ( AS: ) declined 1.70% or 2.65 points to 153.25.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 70 to 24, with 15 ending unchanged.

Shares in Prosus (AS:) rose to 3-year highs; gaining 0.11% or 0.05 to 40.94.

which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

Crude oil for November delivery rose 4.38%, or 3.07, to $73.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for December delivery rose 4.15%, or 3.07, to $76.97 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 0.02 % or 0.55 to $2,670.25 per troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% at 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 0.87% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures rose 0.37% to 101.80.
