Nine new Cornwall bars, restaurants and cafes to try this summer

Cornwall is renowned for being a popular ‘foodie’ destination, celebrating local seasonal produce, creative cuisine and fresh seafood. Wherever you go, you’re never short of great places to eat or drink.

What makes it even better is that it’s often against the backdrop of some of the most stunning scenery in the country. While many of Cornwall’s best places to eat have been around for years, the industry is constantly growing with an infusion of fresh blood.

So far this year, there have been many new and exciting restaurants, bars and cafes that have opened their doors to customers. From a ‘quintessentially British country pub’ undergoing a huge facelift, to a new restaurant, bar and miniature golf course, there’s something for everyone.

Boho 18

The new Boho 18 bar, owned by Ren Del Val Martin and Stephen Gubb Fradgley, can be found at The Old Grammar School in Truro and will offer everything customers have come to know and love about the Spanish-style Bodega 18 in Falmouth and Truro. – but with its own unique Asian twist.

Having first opened on February 5, the Bodega 18 team say it’s like the “cheeky little brother” of the original tapas bar. Stephen said people can expect “amazing cocktails” and “delicious food” at Boho 18.
