Man’s reason for having 60-inch TV in car on M60 not cleared with police

Bizarre photos have shown the moment a man driving a convertible with a giant 60-inch TV hanging from the back was pulled over by police.

The driver of a Volkswagen was stopped on the M60 on Sunday May 19 “unwilling to pay for delivery”. He was issued with a prohibition notice by officers.

A post on X, ex-Twitter, from GMP traffic said: “The driver of this vehicle didn’t want to pay for delivery so he tried to transport his new 60 TV himself” #M60.

“Apparently his cargo carried was nothing dangerous because he ‘kept it.’ #PG9 issued, charge removed & driver reported to @NWmwaypolice”.

The post included two photos of the car, both showing the giant, boxed TV extending several meters from the car.
