Chinese officials will report on the implementation of economic policy on Tuesday by Reuters

(Reuters) – Senior officials from China’s top economic planning agency will brief reporters on Tuesday on steps to implement policies to promote economic growth, the State Council Information Office said in a notice.

Five officials, including National Development and Reform Commission Chairman Zheng Shanjie, are said to attend the press conference.

The theme will be: “systematic implementation of an incremental policy package to promote sound economic growth, structural optimization and sustained development momentum”. The statement did not provide further details.

Tuesday is the first working day in China after a series of holidays over the past week, including National Day.

Before the break, China’s central bank cut interest rates and injected liquidity into the banking system, while regulators eased some ownership restrictions in a stimulus package that lifted stocks.
