Market town near Coventry with the cheapest prices on amazing homes and restaurants

Many people dream of finding a place to live with everything they’ve ever dreamed of. A 30-minute drive from the hustle and bustle of the city is Atherstone – and it won’t cost a fortune to live there.

The town is full of independent shops. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside walks and is known for its annual ball game held every Tuesday – which analysts said has the cheapest property prices in Warwickshire.

On top of that, Muddy Stilettos named Atherstone one of the best places to live in Warwickshire as it is a “lively town” with plenty of “local independents” and “beautiful walks”. Speaking about which shops to recommend, they said: “To keep the man in your life fit and charged, there’s Osborne & Co, and for homeware, check out Chalk and Linen.

“For flowers, you must visit former Muddy’s finalist Flowers by Chris and make sure you pop into WC Masters for cakes, pastries and some of the best samosas around. There is a huge Dobbie’s Garden Center or 15 minutes drive away” I will find Tamworth with its huge shopping park including big names such as TK Maxx, Next, M&S and if you are a bargain hunter there is a nice Primark here and quiet.”

Family-friendly attractions make the city family-friendly. There’s plenty to see, such as Lucky Tails Alpaca Farm, Fourways Play Center and Plantasia Gardens, which has mazes for kids to get lost in – and Harthill Hayes Country Park is nearby.

There are also a number of great state schools including Racemeadow Primary, St Benedict’s Catholic Academy and Queen Elizabeth Academy. There is also Highclare School, which is split into Prep and Senior, which is a 20-minute drive away, and Twycross House and its pre-primary school known as The Hollies.
