Liverpool will now have one eye on next season following the departure of Jurgen Klopp as manager.

The Reds finished Klopp’s final season in charge third in the Premier League, behind Manchester City and Arsenal. Liverpool also won the Carabao Cup, which was the eighth major trophy during Klopp’s tenure as manager.

Arne Slot is expected to be Liverpool’s next manager after Klopp’s exit. The Feyenoord boss is likely to take charge at Anfield in the coming weeks and will already be thinking about the new season.

The new Premier League season will start in August, but before then there will be a wait for the fixture list to be published. Liverpool and the other 19 top flight clubs will have their fixtures published on the same day.

It has already been confirmed that the Premier League will announce the fixture list for the 2024/25 season at Tuesday, June 18, at 9:00 a.m. The first round of TV schedules for Sky Sports and TNT Sports will also be confirmed at this time.

This season, Liverpool traveled to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the opening match. The Reds’ first home game at Anfield was against Bournemouth the following week.

Two newly promoted clubs have already been confirmed, with Leicester City and Ipswich Town playing Premier League football next season. They will be joined by Leeds United or Southampton after the Championship play-off final. There will be no place for Luton Town, Burnley or Sheffield United in the Premier League next season following their relegation to the Championship.

Liverpool will also return to the Champions League next season after finishing third this term. The revamped format will see the Reds play eight group stage matches, with the schedule to be confirmed later this summer.
