Kodak Black’s lawyer weighs in on Diddy’s attack on Cassie

Kodak Black’s longtime attorney Bradford Cohen weighed in on shocking surveillance footage of Diddy violently attacking ex Cassie Ventura in 2016.

The video, released by CNN on Friday (May 17), has understandably sparked an online uproar. Cohen shared a screenshot of the video on his Instagram account on Saturday (May 18) and strongly suggested that this is just the beginning of Diddy’s legal troubles.

“Anyone who thinks CNN ‘obtained’ the video is a fool,” Cohen wrote. “This was a leak and to me, the telegraph is that he is about to be charged in a larger case. That way, if Cassie is the star witness, they can rely on the fact that she was essentially under his control. By the way, that’s why this case should have been settled long before the lawsuit was filed.”

He added: “Another observation is that there is a reason why he has not left the country or flown anywhere in the last month. I think he would be arrested in a criminal complaint if he flew anywhere.”

Video of the incident, which took place at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, corroborates some of the allegations in Cassie Ventura’s 2023 lawsuit against the Bad Boy Records mogul. The video showed Diddy chasing Ventura down a hotel lobby wearing nothing but a white towel. He overtook Ventura at the elevator doors and dragged her back to their hotel room, but not before brutally throwing her to the ground and kicking her twice.

Ventura at one point escaped his grip and tried to call for help on a hotel phone. But Diddy turned around and pushed her into a corner, then threw a vase at her.

“The heartbreaking video further confirmed Mr. Combs’ disturbing and predatory behavior,” said Cassie’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor. “Words cannot express the courage and strength Ms. Ventura showed in coming forward to bring this to light.”
