Taiwan stocks up at close; Taiwan rose 1.79% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, it gained 1.79%.

The best performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW: ), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, EZconn Corp (TW: ) added 9.97% or 36.00 points to end at 397.00 and Epileds Technologies Inc (TW: ) was up 9.96% or 2.65 points to 29.25 at end of transactions.

The worst performers of the session were Warmth Kaori Treatment Co Ltd ( TW: ), which declined 9.99% or 39.00 points to trade at 351.50 at the close. Lead data Inc (TW: ) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW: ) declined 5.73% or 7.50 points to 123. 50.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares of Arima Communications Corp (TW:) rose to 3-year highs; up 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50.

Crude oil for November delivery fell 1.66%, or 1.28, to $75.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for December delivery was down 1.59%, or 1.29, at $79.64 a barrel, while December gold futures were down 0.06 % or 1.60 to $2,664.40 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD rose 0.06% to 32.20, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.55% to 0.22.

US dollar index futures fell 0.12% to 102.18.
