Munich Re closes its high net worth MGA, GrovesJohnWestrup

Munich Re has placed its leading high net worth general agent, GrovesJohnWestrup Private Clients.

“A recent strategic review of our businesses has led to the difficult decision to close GrovesJohnWestrup Private Clients on October 2, 2024,” a Munich Re Specialty spokesman said. “The outage is managed in accordance with our contractual and regulatory obligations. Munich Re Specialty continues to focus on its core portfolio of products and solutions focusing on primary specialty risks.”

In a message posted on LinkedIn, GrovesJohnWestrup Private Clients said it would continue to service all existing policies.

“Current policies can still be managed through our broker portal and any claims can be made through our claims page by 2^when October 2025,” the company said.

“We would like to thank our customers, partners and colleagues for your support and trust over the years.”
