Portugal stocks fall at close of trade; PSI was down 0.28% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the end of Lisbon, down 0.28%.

The best performers of the session on the were Galp Energy Nom (ELI: ), which rose 1.05% or 0.18 points to trade at 16.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (ELI: ) added 0.81% or 0.12 points to end at 15.00 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: ) was flat 0.50% or 0.00 points to 0.42 at end of transactions.

The worst performers of the session were Renovated EDP (ELI: ), which decreased 2.12% or 0.31 points to trade at 14.33 at the close. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI: ) declined 1.03% or 0.18 points to end at 17.26 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI: ) declined 0.95% or 0.04 points to end at 17.26 at 3.86.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 10, with 7 ending unchanged.

Brent crude for December delivery rose 3.08%, or 2.36, to $78.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery rose 3.04%, or 2.23%, to $75.47 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 0.64% or 16.80, to $2,642.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures rose 0.03% to 102.73.
