Tom Cruise’s rarely seen daughter Isabella Kidman Cruise lives a modest life in Croydon, far from the glitz and glamor of Hollywood. Known as Bella, the 31-year-old lives more than 8,000 miles from Los Angeles in a three-bedroom house in south London, having opted out of the high-profile lifestyle years ago.

She shares her humble home with her British husband, Max Parker.

Bella was adopted by Top Gun star Tom Cruise and his then-wife Nicole Kidman in December 1992, just before the release of his hit film A Few Good Men. As she grew up, Bella moved away from the limelight, deciding to move to the UK after meeting her future husband.

The couple exchanged vows in a Scientology wedding at London’s Dorchester Hotel in 2015. The intimate ceremony was attended by only close friends and family.

Unfortunately, neither Tom nor Nicole were able to attend their daughter’s special day due to work commitments, the Mirror reports.

Despite Tom’s generous offer of his £342,000 ($428,000) penthouse near 10 Downing Street with an indoor pool, Bella and Max chose to stay in England. They declined the offer when Bella moved full-time to the UK in 2017.

Tom Cruise, who adopted Bella’s younger brother Connor in 1995 along with Nicole Kidman, could not persuade them to take him up on his offer, causing the siblings to settle in a modest house in Croydon. “I wouldn’t have known her if she had come and slapped me in the face. I don’t keep up with celebrity culture,” a neighbor revealed to The Sun in 2017.

“They have some kind of reptile – we can see the red light of the tank. That’s all anyone seems to know. She’s very mysterious. I guess she decided to live in the limelight. I don’t know why she chose Croydon, poor kid.”

Despite her parents’ huge net worth of over £600 million, Bella was determined to make a living for herself, rejecting the life of a ‘baby nephew’. She markets her artwork on the internet, promoting her creations to her substantial 50,000 followers on her verified Instagram account.

Her art, which ranges from $19 to $30, includes a wide range of items from prints to totes. “Bella has been drawing since her little hands could pick up a pen. Since that time, she has evolved in her art,” her website bio states.

“Her medium has been pencil and paper for most of her life. However, she is now venturing into other formats and mediums. Including digital. Which is a bit of a game changer in her opinion.”
