Manchester is named in the UK’s top ten walkable cities

The ten best cities in the UK for walking have been revealed and it’s no shock that Manchester made the cut. When it comes to discovering a city on foot, there are few places in the UK that outshine Manchester.

Many people find that the best way to get to know a new location is to take a leisurely stroll. A study by Preply’s team of experts has highlighted the UK’s most pedestrian-friendly cities, taking into account the distance between main attractions, the time it takes to travel between them and the number of steps required, according to the Mirror.




Unfortunately, Manchester didn’t snatch first place – that honor went to Oxford. Do you think that’s fair?

10. Bathroom

Despite its picturesque scenery, Bath has not ranked as one of the UK’s top walking destinations. The city’s main attractions were nearly seven miles apart.

However, Bath’s charming streets are perfect for walkers and you can always stop for a well-deserved rest with a Bath bun.
