Greenford gets pizza in action with Little Caesars – EALING.NEWS – The Voice of Ealing 7 towns

Ealing pizza lovers along with Ealing North MP James Murray came to Greenford Broadway to celebrate the launch of London’s first Little Caesars.

The number three pizza chain in the States opened its Greenford branch, which employs 10 people, in March 2024 following its return to the UK after more than 20 years with stores in Derby and Nottingham.

During the Saturday afternoon celebration (May 18, 2024), locals lined up to receive free pizza, with 100 lucky customers receiving a free pizza every month for a year and another 150 people receiving a free pizza in that day.

Unlike most of its competitors who discount their pizzas, Little Caesars offers everyday value prices, with large pizzas priced from £5 for margherita and pepperoni and up to £8 to £10 for other toppings. It’s very much about being an accessible and affordable option for all, as well as tasting great.

EALING.NEWS had the opportunity to try a £5 daisy. It was a winner. Lots of melted cheese made from a mixture of mozzarella and cheddar combined with a tomato sauce that gave it a great taste. The pizza base and crust were unlike other pizza chains, light but deep enough without being a deep pan and perfect to hold the amazing toppings that go on it.

Another amazing treat I tried was the crazy cheese and herb puffs. These are quiche-like pastries filled with amazing Little Caesars ingredients and come in threes for £3.99. I also tried a portion of cheesy bread – very tasty! For £3.99, a great little side dish, packed with cheese and garlic and cut into eight pieces.

Speaking to EALING.NEWS, Carlos Vidal, VP International Development for Little Caesars said: “We bring the best quality pizza to the country at a very affordable price. So £5 for a margarita or pepperoni pizza. We have other specialty pizzas that are a bit more expensive.”

As people become more aware of how they spend their money during the cost of living crisis, the value proposition that Little Caesars offers appears to be a hit with both customers and the pizza giant. They are already looking for growth opportunities not just in other parts of Ealing, but in the rest of London and the country.

Mr Vidal added: “We are looking for multi-unit franchisees in the market and welcome other interested parties to join the network. Our goal is to bring the product and make it accessible to a wider and wider range of the population.”

Local franchisee for Little Caesars, Rajan Sandhu told EALING.NEWS: “We are very, very happy and excited to be the first to launch in London. We are happy to bring more value to the community. It’s an absolute pleasure to have the third largest pizza brand and to bring that to the UK is very, very exciting.”

Mr. Sandhu added that he looks forward to growing with Little Caesars. “We are looking forward to opening more branches. With Little Caesars we are looking to grow and expand. So once we find new locations available, it’s something we’re looking to do.”

And what is his favorite pizza? He revealed, “My own favorite is the spicy peri peri. I like a little spice and it’s perfect.”

Ealing North MP James Murray welcomed the pizza business in Greenford. He told EALING.NEWS: “It’s great to see the business opening on Greenford Broadway. I know so many businesses on the High Street are struggling at the moment. To see a business open and employing new people in the local area is very exciting.”

He added: “When I saw the Little Caesars sign going up here a few months ago I thought I wanted to know a bit more about what it was as I recognize the name from America. And then when I looked on the internet I realized that this would be the first Little Caesars in London and here in Greenford. So I’m very proud to have that here in Greenford and I’m very excited to be here today to support their opening and even more excited to have some of their pepperoni pizza, which was delicious.”

Little Caesars is located at:
