Police investigating Kingstanding crash urge ‘get in touch’ after child hit by car

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a crash on a busy Birmingham road. A child was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Kingstanding last week.

Emergency services rushed to the junction of Kingstanding Road and Hawthorn Road after the alarm was raised at around 4.15pm on Thursday (May 16). The boy was taken to the hospital with fortunately non-serious injuries.

West Midlands Police now say their inquiries are ongoing into the incident, which happened where the road also meets Dyas Road and Warren Farm Road. The force has asked anyone with information to “contact us” as the probe continues.
