Jack O’Sullivan: Police launch appeal to find dog walker in search of missing man

Avon and Somerset Police have released an update on their investigation into the disappearance of Jack O’Sullivan. Jack, 23, was last seen in Hotwells on Saturday March 2 as he headed home after a night out with friends.

The last confirmed sighting of Jack was at around 3.13am at the junction of Brunel Lock Way and Brunel Way, but two other sightings of what may be Jack were at around 3.25am on Plimsole heading towards the town center and at 3.38am on Bennett Way. slippery road




Officers investigating his disappearance have contacted more than 1,000 taxi drivers in the city in a bid to find the 23-year-old. It is hoped that taxi drivers using the Cumberland Basin network in the early hours of March 2 may have dashcam footage or information that could help find him.

New CCTV footage has also been released showing a member of the public walking a dog in the Brunel Swing Bridge and Cumberland Basin area at around 4.30am. Police believe this person is a possible witness and are asking them to get in touch. They are described as wearing a green padded jacket with a fur-lined hood and walking a black dog with a red collar.

Chief Investigating Officer Jason Chidgey said: “We hope this renewed focus on motorists or motorists using the road system around Hotwells and the Cumberland Basin on the morning of Saturday March 2 will produce more potential images which can help us provide answers to Jack’s family about what happened to him.


“We know there was a significant number of vehicles in the area around this time and we have previously appealed for anyone with dash cam footage to come forward – with a particular focus on the area of ​​Brunel Way, Brunel Lock Road, Junction Swing Bridge, Plimsol Swing Bridge or Portway, anytime between 2:45 and 4:00 on Saturday, March 2. We are also still appealing for any cell phone or doorbell footage.

Jack is white, approximately 5ft 10in, slim build, with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a green/brown quilted Barbour jacket, a beige woolen jumper, navy blue chinos and brown shoes with white soles.
