Appeal: Man dies in collision, Leeds

Police are appealing for witnesses or dash cam footage following a collision in Leeds which has sadly left a man dead.

At around 10.30am today (Tuesday), a silver Peugeot 307 crashed into a barrier as it attempted to exit Armley Gyratory on Wellington Road.

The driver, a 59-year-old man from Leeds, was taken to hospital but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

He is believed to have suffered a medical episode.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have footage to assist is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting log reference 462 of May 7.

The 307 is believed to have been in a collision with a Peugeot Partner van on the A58 before entering the Armley Gyratory.

Officers would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have footage or a dash cam to assist with their enquiries.
