Every new bus service coming to Nuneaton, Rugby, Stratford and Leamington this week

New bus services through Nuneaton, Rugby, Leamington and Stratford will appear in timetables from this weekend. The service changes, revealed by warwickshire-county-council>Warwickshire County Council and Stagecoach, come into effect between Saturday (May 25) and June 14.

Cash to pay for the changes has been funded through the central government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan Plus (BSIP+). will pave the way for services including new evening services as well as reliability improvements ensuring buses turn up when they need to.




It includes better access between Nuneaton and Coventry, as well as from parts of Atherstone to Ventura Park. In Rugby, there will be more Sunday services and some journeys to Leamington and Stratford have been rescheduled.

Full list of new services

Nuneaton

  • Service 148: New extra Sunday evening journeys between Nuneaton and Coventry. It starts on May 25th
  • Service 5B: The new evening service providing evening links between Bermuda Park, Nuneaton town centre, Chapel End, Camp Hill and George Eliot Hospital, the last bus also serving Ansley and Arley. It starts on May 25th
  • Service 65A: New Friday and Saturday evening service at 2020 and 2220 Ventura Park-Tamworth-Polesworth-Dordon-Wood End-Piccadilly-Hurley-Kingsbury (operated by Arriva). It starts on June 14th

Rugby

  • Service 4: Following a council review, Sunday services will be revised to take place every 30 minutes. Starts May 25, 2024.
  • Service 4A: A new evening service with later buses to support those working or socializing in the evening. The last city center buses to Brownsover and Bilton will now be at 2234.
  • Service 63: The morning journey leaving Leamington at 07:04 will depart 12 minutes earlier to help improve reliability during the morning. It starts on June 1, 2024
  • Service 64: The morning journey will depart 8 minutes earlier at 0545 from Rugby. It starts on June 1, 2024
  • Service 961: 0813 will depart at 0810 with more time to complete the journey, reflecting local traffic conditions. It starts on June 1, 2024

Leamington and Stratford

  • Service 1: rescheduled evening services. Some journeys extended to Jaguar Land Rover at Gaydon via Bishops Tachbrook and Lighthorne Heath, replacing service 77 at these times. On Fridays and Saturdays, one journey will provide a late evening service to Southam. Starts May 25, 2024.
  • Service X18: After the huge success of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s trial of a Thursday to Saturday evening service between Stratford-upon-Avon and Coventry, the council stepped in to fund Monday to Saturday to secure it for the future. Starts May 25, 2024.
  • Service 75A: New evening services running on Fridays and Saturdays from Stratford station and the town center to Lower Quinton with one journey to Shipston. Starts on May 25, 2024.
  • Service 77: evening journeys after 20:30 replaced by an improved service 1. Starts from 25 May 2024.
  • Service 63: The morning journey leaving Leamington at 07:04 will depart 12 minutes earlier to help improve reliability during the morning. It starts on June 1, 2024
  • Service 64: The morning journey will depart 8 minutes earlier at 0545 from Rugby. You start June 1, 2024
  • Service 247A: Extra journey on Friday and Saturday evenings 2230 Redditch-Studley-Alcester-Bidford; return 23:15 (driven by Diamond)
