House construction company The Vistry Group has been selected by Sovereign Network to build and deliver a £157.0m 100% partner-funded scheme at Merrick Place in Ealing.

Vistry said on Tuesday that this “innovative, housing-led scheme” would create 575 new mixed-use homes, along with commercial space in four separate buildings, and include affordable rental homes, shared ownership and PRS.

The FTSE 250-listed firm added that the development will be a car-free zone with 926 designated bicycle parking spaces and two dedicated service bays.

Chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: “We are delighted to be appointed for this fantastic new development in Ealing, working with one of our established partners. Not only are we bringing 575 much-needed new mixed-use homes to the local community, the scheme also facilitates new employment and apprenticeship opportunities for local residents.”

As of 0905 BST, Vistry shares were down 5.73% to 72.45p.
