Police cordon off street after gang of kids ‘fight with guns’

A street has been cordoned off by police after a gang of children were seen fighting with guns.

Merseyside Police were called to Lowell Street in Walton at around 6.40pm on Tuesday 7 May. It came after officers received a report that a group of youths were seen carrying weapons and fighting in the street.




A witness told the ECHO that the incident involved a crossbow. However, this has not yet been confirmed. Police said no injuries were reported during the incident.

Officers were seen speaking to residents on nearby Lowell Street and Rippon Street. A cordon remained in place while police investigated to establish the circumstances of the incident.
