Leeds United face Southampton at Wembley on Sunday and the club strip to be worn on the day has now been confirmed.

Everything for Leeds’ work this season comes down to their performance at Wembley on Sunday as they face Southampton in the play-off final.

It comes after a stunning return to form for Daniel Farke’s side in the play-off semi-final against Norwich, back at the peak of their powers, backed by a crowd too.

Confirmed: Leeds United kit color for play-off final at Wembley

One question fans are asking in the build-up to the game is what gear each team will have for Sunday’s meeting.

Southampton dropped their biggest hint yet to Leeds yesterday as they said they will be in their third darker kit for Wembley, the strip they wore at Elland Road earlier this month on the final day of the season.

Now Leeds have confirmed that the club will be in their iconic white home strip this week for the play-off final:

The team that finished higher in the regular season gets to choose the kit, according to EFL rules, which was third-placed Leeds, and thus opted for the home kit.

Additionally, EFL Regulation 39.1 states that teams cannot change their home, away or third kit for a match, meaning Southampton cannot change their third kit shorts or socks.

Leeds fans will turn Wembley bright white on Sunday

Both sides are selling out their half of Wembley and it will look superb with their club colors on display.

It’s great that we’ll be in white too, as most fans would be incredibly superstitious about our chances if we were in away kit.

We didn’t win on that blue number, which is such a shame for an amazing kit design.

Let’s hope our unbeaten home run this season continues on Sunday.

Quiz: Remember Leeds United’s last 15 results against Southampton before the play-off final?
