Man killed and boy, 16, in hospital after horror double stabbing in Enfield | Great Britain | News

A man has been killed in a midnight double stabbing that also left a 16-year-old boy in hospital.

Police said they were called to a property in Enfield, north London, at around 12.30am this morning. Both the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service attended, but despite the best efforts of paramedics, a man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s family has been informed.

Another victim, a 16-year-old boy, was treated for stab wounds, but his condition is not considered serious, according to police. The police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of murder and grievous bodily harm.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the investigation and said: “I understand the shock that such an incident will cause the local community and I want to thank them for their patience while we carried out our work at the scene .

“Everyone involved was known to each other, an arrest has been made and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

“Residents will continue to see both specialists and local officers in and around the location over the coming days; if you have any concerns or information that you think might help, please speak to them, contact your local police team or call 101.”
