Metro passengers face delays during peak hours

London commuters are experiencing Tube delays on several lines during rush hour on Wednesday afternoon.

There are minor delays on the Bakerloo and Jubilee lines, while there are severe delays on the Metropolitan Line, Transport for London said.

Earlier disruption to Thameslink services between London St Pancras International and London Blackfriars has been lifted after an early train breakdown.

National Rail said earlier damage to an electric third rail between East Croydon and East Grinstead/Uckfield, which caused disruption to Thameslink and Southern trains, had also been cleared.

Partially suspended above a malfunctioning train

There is no service between Highbury & Islington and Stratford on the London Overground due to a train breakdown on Camden Road.

There are also severe delays between Highbury & Islington and Richmond / Clapham Junction.

Minor delays on the Bakerloo line

There are minor delays on the entire Bakerloo line, according to TfL. This is due to the lack of trains.

The overhead outage is now expected until 10:00am

Lines have reopened but trains may continue to be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

Thameslink and Southern users face cancellations in south London

Southern and Thameslink services in south London may be canceled until 1pm following track damage between East Croydon and East Grinsted.

Services running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised by up to 45 minutes.

The affected services are:

– Between London Victoria and East Grinstead

– Between London Bridge and Uckfield

– Between East Grinstead and Bedford

Minor delays on the Northern Line

There are minor delays on the Northern Line due to a lack of trains, TfL says.

There continue to be minor delays on Bakerloo for the same reason.

The ground disturbance extended until 12:00

As a reminder, there are severe delays between Stratford and Richmond / Clapham Junction due to an earlier broken down train on Camden Road.

Ground services are back to normal

Overground services are now running as normal after severe delays this morning affected commuters between Stratford, Richmond and Clapham Junction.

At around 11am, National Rail said trains could run as normal following a train breakdown earlier on Camden Road.

Southern and Thameslink services have been disrupted

Damage to the electric third rail between East Croydon and East Grinstead / Uckfield is causing disruption to trains running between these stations, National Rail says.

Trains running through Oxted will be severely disrupted as follows:

– Between London Victoria and East Grinstead

These trains will run between London Victoria and East Croydon instead

– Between London Bridge and Uckfield

Instead, these trains will only run between Uckfield and Oxted

– Between East Grinstead and Bedford

These trains will be suspended until further notice

If you are traveling between East Croydon and Uckfield or East Grinstead, you will need to use an alternative route to get to your destination and your journey may take up to 45 minutes longer than usual.

Southern and Thameslink disruption continues

The outage in East Croydon is removed
