Southall to get 575 new homes at Merrick Place – EALING.NEWS – The Voice of Ealing 7 towns

Housing association giant Sovereign Network Group (SNG) has announced that Countryside Partnerships, part of the Vistry Group, will be the main contractor to build 575 new homes for its Merrick Place housing development opposite Southall Rail Station.

The development, on a former industrial site, is designed by architect Cartwright Pickard and will consist of four buildings between 15 and 23 storeys and will include office and retail space.

The apartments will be a mix of affordable homes for rent, shared ownership and private rent. There will be no on-site parking for residents and the development, which includes communal garden and play areas, will provide 926 cycle parking spaces.

No details have been announced on the specifications and bedroom sizes for the homes.

John Fitzgerald, managing director, Vistry South London, said: “Merrick Place will play a key role in the wider regeneration of Ealing and we are very pleased to have been appointed by our established partner SNG for its delivery. The creation of 575 new mixed-use homes, as well as shared outdoor spaces and new retail and office space, will help build a thriving community for Southall residents and contribute to the long-term transformation of the area.”

David Gooch, Executive Director of Development for London and Herts at SNG, said: “The Merrick Place project in Southall is a flagship scheme within SNG’s London New Homes programme. We are delighted to have entered into a contract with Countryside Partnerships who are also our joint venture partner at Northwick Park Hospital in Brent. Together, these two projects will deliver over 1,100 high quality new homes in North West London.”
