Darwin Nunez has been spotted with the Barcelona star as social media activity fuels Liverpool transfer talk

Darwin Nunez

Darwin Nunez was spotted for the first time since his Liverpool future was thrown into doubt at the weekend. The forward sparked speculation after the 4-2 win over Tottenham.

After the game, Nunez caused a stir by deleting all pictures related to his time in England. After heading straight down the tunnel at full-time, the Uruguay international sparked rumors about his future later on.

Nunez’s social media woes have led supporters to fear he could be on the move in the summer in what is expected to be a transfer window full of change, with Jurgen Klopp moving on.

The forward also appeared to block supporters who expressed their displeasure at him heading straight down the Anfield tunnel. Despite only joining the club in 2022, the Uruguayan international’s online activity has left many doubting whether he will remain at the club for next season.

Now, the striker has been seen in public for the first time since the weekend. On Instagram, Barcelona defender and Nunez’s international team-mate Ronald Araujo posted a selfie of the pair enjoying the sunny weather.

“My brother *red love heart emoji*,” the captain also posted on the defender’s story on Tuesday. The post is likely just two friends posting an innocuous picture of themselves on social media, but recent speculation about Nunez’s future means there are more eyes on the post.
