The Land Rover Defender caught fire as thick plumes of smoke were spotted in Keresley

A Land Rover Defender was set on fire as thick plumes of smoke filled the air above Keresley. Smoke could be seen across the village last night (May 21).


Questions about what caught fire have been raised on social media. Nuneaton Fire Station has confirmed that a Land Rover Defender has been set on fire.



A crew from Newtown Road station assisted fellow West Midlands firefighters at the scene. Unconfirmed reports suggest the car was stolen.
