Live: A30 closed after caravan and Land Rover fires

Two vehicle fires have broken out on the same stretch of the A30 in Cornwall, forcing the busy road to close. The A30 is closed eastbound at Indian Queens.

A trailer fire was initially reported in the area and one lane was closed while fire crews tackled the blaze. A short time later another fire was reported just kilometers up the road at Fraddon and the road was closed.

According to traffic monitoring website Inrix, the fire is taking place eastbound near the A39. A picture from the scene shows black smoke billowing into the air as traffic builds up.

Inrix says: “A30 eastbound closed, traffic backed up due to vehicle fire from B3275 (Fraddon Services) to A39 (Indian Queens). It is separated from the trailer fire after the Indian Queens intersection.”
