Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca rejects the club’s approach

Maresca led Leicester City straight back to the Premier League after being relegated last year and his stock has soared.

Leicester are already working to offer him a new contract as they prepare for life back in the top flight.

However, they face the threat of losing Maresca this summer as Chelsea eye him as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement.

He has also attracted interest from Spain, where Sevilla are keen to lure him away from the King Power Stadium.

But it was claimed that Maresca had turned down an approach from the Spanish club which had been made “in recent days”.

His priority is to do well in the Premier League and Chelsea’s interest in him is still very much alive.

Leicester are likely to demand a large compensation if Chelsea make an approach for Maresca in the coming days.

The Blues are looking for a new manager after Pochettino left the club on Tuesday night.
