#2. Corné beet

The Tigers have announced that Springbok Junior of the Year Corné Beets has signed a long-term contract with the club.

Beets, 20, is regarded as one of the top prospects in South African rugby, having been a standout performer wearing the number eight shirt for his country at last year’s U20 World Championships, scoring a try in the third-place playoff against England.

Beets played his school rugby at Paarl Gymnasium in South Africa’s Western Cape province, the same school as future team-mate, two-time World Cup winner Handré Pollard.

“It is an honor and a privilege to bring my enthusiasm and expertise to this legendary club and I look forward to the challenges ahead as I create lifelong memories with my teammates and the amazing supporters of Leicester Tigers .
