A new theater and drama summer camp is coming to Croydon – South London News

A new drama and theater summer camp is coming to Croydon in July and August.

Acting for the stage will run one day a week from 11am to 5pm from July 29 to August 2 at The Shoestring Theater in Oakley Road, South Norwood.

The five-day program will be led by acting coach and teacher, Jasmin Skeete, who has 11 years’ experience working with 11-21 year olds in the theater sector.

Ms Skeete said: “I have two former students of mine who will be supporting me over the five days, both of whom have recently graduated from the BRIT School and are now at top drama schools in London.”

Designed for young drama lovers, the camp will develop the skills necessary to perform on a professional stage.

During the sessions, participants will learn new acting skills as well as create their own production, with the final day culminating in a grand finale live performance for friends and family.

Sessions are charged at £15 per person – a total of £75 for the camp.
