Wakefield’s plans to redefine its town center and attract inward investment have been unveiled at the UK Real Estate Infrastructure and Investment Forum (UKREiiF).

This approach is designed to promote mixed-use developments for the city, ushering in a new era of development and growth.

Councilor Michael Graham, Wakefield Council’s cabinet member for regeneration and growth, said: “There are exciting things happening in Wakefield. We’re taking some bold steps to reimagine our downtown and position ourselves for the future of our economy.

“By delivering a breakthrough partnership and bringing key influential partners together, we can continue to accelerate the pace of regeneration in our city centre.

“There are countless opportunities for investors, stakeholders and our community to come with us on this journey. We are looking for strategic partners who can help us innovate to unleash the full potential of our city.”
