Buffaloes bulletin: Bramley warms up for semi-final challenge

By Paul Abraham

Bramley prepared for this week’s YML Trophy semi-final at Moldgreen with an 88-0 thrashing of Wyke.

As 12 different players shared the 15 tries and Lewis Gaunt kicked 13 goals and Connor McGill added a try to his tally, the match became more of a training session for the Buffaloes.

Despite the competitive level of the opposition, tries had to be created and scored and the current ‘Buffs are currently in a ruthless mood, with the power of the forwards and the scorching speed of the backs making the team dominant in all departments.

This week’s opponents – Moldgreen

Moldgreen ARLFC’s newly reformed open age side are enjoying their start to life in Yorkshire Men’s Rugby League Division 2. Boss Antony Collins is pleased with the way the club has started and believes a bright future lies ahead.

The team is currently in the fourth position in the division, with one win, two draws and one defeat in the first four matches. They lost 28-34 at Queensbury last week and so everything points to a tough and close encounter as the Buffaloes look to reach their second cup final in two seasons.
