Coventry man hailed a ‘legend’ as he tells Tory MP to ‘read the room’ during BBC Question Time

A Coventry man is a hailed ‘legend’ on BBC Question Time, which was hosted in the city yesterday (Thursday 23 May). Kam Anthony, believed to live in Coventry, said he was “a bit overwhelmed” after his “national TV rant” in which he grilled Tory MP Mark Spencer about the state of the city centre, energy bills, the NHS and youth violence.

He posted on X (formerly Twitter) following the event, saying his “phone blew up”. He wrote: “Phones are blowing up and I’m a little overwhelmed. but thank you for all the nice messages about my move on national TV tonight #bbcqt”.




Loose Women’s Denise Welch even hit back at Kam saying she was “overseas just reading” about him. She said: “I’m abroad just reading about you!!! Well done sir”.
