Powell names his team to take on Whitehaven

Wakefield Trinity have made three changes to their 21-man squad ahead of their clash with Whitehaven on Sunday 26th May (KO: 3pm) at The Ortus Rec!

Trinity are still unbeaten in the Betfred Championship as they sit top of the league table and three points clear of nearest opponents Widnes after last weeks 46-22 win over Swinton Lions.

Whitehaven are currently eighth in the Betfred Championship and last week produced a 28-28 draw with Widnes Vikings to show just how challenging they will be.

The last meeting between the two teams was in 1998 with Wakefield running out 15-2 winners at the Rec.

Wakefield manager Daryl Powell can welcome Mason Lino back into the squad following the ankle injury he picked up in the 1895 Cup semi-final win over Bradford.

Youngsters Harvey Smith and Noah Booth return to the 21-man squad, with Liam Hood, Toby Booth and Jack Croft dropping out.

Tickets will be available to buy on the day of the match at The Ortus Rec, with a limited number of coach journeys still available from the club shop in Ridings Shopping Centre.
