Sacad Ali’s latest slaying as two teenagers plead guilty in Sheffield park stabbing

A pair of teenagers have pleaded guilty to murdering a 24-year-old man in a Sheffield park earlier this year.

The pair, who are aged 16 and 17 and cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to murdering Sacad Ali at Sheffield Crown Court earlier today (Friday 24 May). Sacade died in Ponderosa Park in the Netherthorpe area of ​​the city on March 9.



He died after suffering multiple stab wounds and so far five people have been arrested in connection with his death. The two teenagers also pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article. They have been remanded in custody and are due to be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on November 1.

Rebecca Moore, 24, of Springvale Walk, Sheffield, has also been charged with Sacade’s murder. She entered a not guilty plea during her appearance at the same court earlier today and was remanded in custody ahead of her next court appearance on October 21.

Two men, aged 19 and 46, who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with this murder investigation, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
