New Labor councilor announced for Henley and Thame

A NEW Labor candidate for Henley and Thame has been announced ahead of the general election.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced this week that an election would be held on July 4.

Following the surprise election announcement, Alexandra Aldridge-Gibbons, the former Labor candidate for Henley and Thame, has decided to stand down for personal reasons.

She was replaced by Nanda Manley-Browne, a Lambeth councilor who previously represented Brixton North in London.

Cllr Manley Browne works in the NHS and is a school governor.

Her councilor page says: “As a councillor, she fought to help reduce poverty, inequality and pollution by improving services and creating new opportunities for all residents, especially our children and young people, as well as for those with protected features. .”
