Jeremy Clarkson tearfully hugs Kaleb Cooper during Clarkson’s Farm meltdown

New photos from upcoming episodes of Clarkson’s Farm show Jeremy Clarkson consoling his farm manager Kaleb Cooper as he struggles to hold back tears over bad news for the farm. The 25-year-old looks visibly frustrated and emotional, wiping away a tear when he realized the canola crop he had planted failed to grow – after Jeremy warned him not to plant it in the first place.

The farmer and former Top Gear presenter faced a number of challenges during filming, not least the weather. Jeremy noted that there was “no rain at all” and that they experienced a “cooler”. He added: “Then it went into the hottest June ever, since then it’s been the wettest and coldest July.”

Speaking about the new episodes of the Amazon Prime show, he lamented that the weather had done the exact opposite of what they needed all year, saying: “Since the weather had done the exact opposite of what we needed all year, I been praying for an old-fashioned autumn with plenty of warm sunshine – but no, the crucial harvest month was also the refusal to play ball.

“And now Kaleb killed the crops to get them ready for the combine. The clock was ticking. The longer they sat in the field, too wet to harvest, the more they would deteriorate,” reports the Express.

However, when Kaleb ran a moisture test on the crops, the results were not promising. He joked, “I think I broke a record for the number of times I can test the moisture in a field.”

When Jeremy arrived while Kaleb was testing the second field, the farm manager revealed that the results were “shockingly bad”. The Grand Tour star concluded: “Once again, it was the weather that delivered the killing blow.”
