Three-day misconduct hearing to hear allegations of sexual remarks made by one police officer to another – Neil Wilby Media

On 3-5 June 2024, commencing at 10.00am on the first day, a serious misconduct hearing will be held at West Yorkshire Police Headquarters, Laburnum Road, Wakefield, in respect of Constable Jack Cunningham.

It is alleged that while on police officer training, PC Cunningham made inappropriate and sexual comments to another officer both verbally and through text messages.

In behaving in this way, PC Cunningham is alleged to have acted in breach of the Standards of Professional Conduct relating to:

Discreditable conduct; Equality and diversity; and Authority, Respect and Courtesy.

The force has so far not released details of when and where the incident(s) occurred or PC Cunningham’s current duty status.

From the duration of the meeting it is assumed that the charges will be defended and the officer concerned will be legally represented.

The WYP press office has been asked to assist with the missing details.
