A former post office in Leicestershire with a top floor flat will go under the hammer next week. Bidders say the site has great potential for its “prime” location.

The building, which is now used as a convenience store, can be found in Tilton on Hill’s Leicester Road. The most recent was a post office and is part of the latest sale from SDL Property Auctions which takes place next week.

The former post office, which also boasts a top floor flat, is hailed as being in a “central” and “prime” location in Tilton on the Hill and is set back from the road. Its “mixed-use” nature has the bidders saying interested buyers could acquire the site and then lock it up to two separate tenants.

Details for the freehold business show that the ground floor is currently in the form of a convenience store with an additional hot and cold food sales area. This floor also has a fitted kitchen at the rear, while disabled access is possible from the inclined ramp.

The first floor apartment includes a double bedroom as well as a kitchen/dining room and ‘utility alcove’ which holds a washing machine. There is also a living room and a “large” bathroom. The rear of the property also includes a shed garden which is in ‘good condition’.
