Police called to leave Coventry Sainsbury’s as ‘youths inside’

Police were called to an abandoned supermarket in Coventry following reports that youths were inside the building. Officers were called to Sainsburys in Courthouse Green.

Officers from Foleshill SNT and Coventry Police were called to the vacant unit earlier today (Sunday, April 26). The youths were believed to be in the building on Austin Drive.



All the youths have now been located, Foleshill Police told X. Officers say they will now be “dealt with accordingly”.

A spokesman for Foleshill Police said: “Foleshill SNT, assisted by Coventry Police, visited the former Sainsburys on Austin Drive to reports of young people inside the premises. The youths were located and dealt with accordingly.”
