Britain to experience 25C heatwave soon, new weather maps reveal hotspots | Birmingham Live

Temperatures will rise to 25C across the UK in the coming days – and Birmingham will be at the center of the heatwave. WXCharts predicted a warming trend, turning yellow to signify a possible rise in temperatures.

Thunderstorms hit the region today, which means things have gotten wet — and more rain is in the air. However, WXCharts is forecasting “summer-like” weather in a few days.

According to forecast charts from June 5, regions such as Birmingham and Manchester could enjoy favorable conditions as temperatures are set to rise to 23C. Jim Dale of the British Weather Services said it could reach 25C over the next few days.

He said: “It looks like there is high pressure in the west of the UK as we change months in a matter of days.”

The return in June will benefit even the coldest part of the UK – Scotland. Drier weather is also expected in the north in the Scottish Highlands. Maps project that towns around Wick and Inverness could reach a comfortable 21C.

Mr Dale also predicts temperature rises from southern Europe, noting: “We may also get some sort of push from the south, so Spain, Italy and southern France will start to warm. The heat from these areas appears to be moving in our direction.”

He concluded: “We’ve cut the Atlantic off from the rain and we’ll be drier, sunnier and warmer by next weekend. 23C in the south is quite possible, probably more like 25C in some cases”.
