Where Bristol universities rank in the latest UK rankings

The University of the West of England has seen its share drop in the latest Complete University Guide. UWE is now ranked 78th in the UK by CUG, down 11 places from last year.

In comparison, the University of Bristol continues to feature very well on the list and remained at 16th place in the UK. The University of Bristol was also ranked as one of the top ten universities for medicine (6th), veterinary medicine (6th) and law (8th), among others.




The University of Bath continues to be in the top ten UK universities, but has dropped three places to eighth. Across the country, the University of Cambridge again topped the list, followed by Oxford.

But here’s what CUG had to say about Bristol universities:

University of Bristol (16th in the UK)

The university received an overall rating of 79% by the Complete University Guide. It averages 75% when it comes to student satisfaction and 85% when it comes to graduation prospects.

Professor Michele Acuto, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement at the University of Bristol, said: “It’s fantastic to be recognized again in the Complete University Guide and we’re particularly proud that almost 30 of our subjects have been ranked in the top 10 in the UK .
