Royal Enfield Classic 350, Goan Classic 350, 350cc bobber

Royal Enfield has long been known to be working on one 350cc bobberand we also know that it will be called the Goan Classic 350. Now, we have uncovered an image that shows us the final design of this bike, and although this is a low-resolution black and white image, we can see that the bike looks quite beautiful.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Design, Engine, India Launch

The Goan Classic 350 is very much a variant of the Classic and the headlight pod, front fork, engine and some body panels are lifted from the popular Classic 350. What is very interesting about this bike is the seating arrangement – it can accommodate two people. as standard, unlike the form-over-function Jawa bobbers that will be the Goan Classic’s direct rivals.

On a previous occasion, we have seen the Royal Enfield Goan Classic running a solo seat setup and it is almost certain that the perch will be removable without much fuss. With the seat removed, this bike will have a very clean and minimalistic design in true bobber fashion. The passenger seat appears to be mounted directly to the main frame, unlike the Classic and Bullet where it sits on the rear fender.

What’s also different from the Classic and Bullet 350 is the monkey-hook handlebars on the Goan Classic 350, which should result in straighter hands than the other two. Another difference from the other two bikes is the presence of whitewall tires on the Goan Classic 350, which will make it one of the few new bikes you can buy in 2024 that comes shod with whitewall tires, another example being Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic.

The 350cc J-platform engine underpins four models and in all of them is rated for an identical 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque, which should continue on the Goan Classic 350. However, the company could make some small adjustments to the fit or mapping to suit the very relaxed nature of this bike. Expect the Classic 350’s feature set and cycle parts to continue here largely unchanged. The muffler also seems to have a different dark design in all the previous spy shots, which could mean there are some internal changes around here.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is currently priced between Rs 1.93 lakh and Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai) and we expect the Goan Classic 350 to be priced somewhere at the higher end of this spectrum.
