Hundreds of Cornwall homes affected by power cut – updates

More than 2,000 homes were hit by a power cut this evening in the PL31 postcode and surrounding areas. According to National Grid’s UK X account, work is being done to fix the problem.

Initially, it was estimated that power would be restored around 9:30 p.m. at the earliest. However, at 9.25pm National Grid posted a message saying: “We apologize for the delay in restoring power, our engineers are working to have all properties back on by 11pm.”

National Grid’s website says: “We are aware of this power outage incident which has been raised to 8:07pm tonight and our engineers are working to get power back on as quickly as possible. We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes you.

“For any updates, please bookmark or visit this page as we will keep you updated on our progress and the latest information we have regarding this incident.”
