Enzo Maresca’s verdict at Chelsea has been given as the numbers point to an exit from Leicester City

Enzo Maresca is now a huge favorite to replace Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea manager.

In what would be an extraordinary move for such an inexperienced team boss, the Leicester City head coach has stepped up in the latest bet to take over at Stamford Bridge, listed as a 1/20 in the red by Sky Bet.

Just a year ago, Maresca was handed his first senior managerial role and the former Manchester City assistant boss responded by leading the Foxes to the Championship title. But now he appears to be on the cusp of an altogether more difficult task, leading Chelsea back to their glory days.

Of the other names listed for the job, second favorite is former Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, who is listed at 14/1, and Brentford boss Thomas Frank at 20/1, but both are at miles behind Maresca, who is now showing. a shoe to take over in West London.

According to The Telegraph , Chelsea have reportedly sought Leicester’s permission to speak to Maresca, with the next big topic of discussion likely to be the compensation the Foxes will receive for their manager.
