Bristol Tennessee City Schools offering free summer meals

BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) – Bristol Tennessee City Schools will continue to feed children during the summer.

The school system will provide seven days worth of meals to all children under 18 starting in June.

The Washington County Summer Food Program will begin on May 28th

Every Thursday, children at Avoca Elementary will have seven days worth of breakfast and lunch from 3-6 p.m.

The meals offered will also include a hot meal. The school system said in a flyer that the meal will include a gallon of milk in the seven-day package and a half-gallon in the weekend package.

Goody bags will also be available while supplies last.
