Electric bike ‘involved’ in Sunday morning house fire in Bradford: Fire chief

An electric bike appears to have caused an early morning crash in a south-east Bradford neighborhood on Sunday.

Bradford Fire and Emergency Services personnel, South Simcoe Police and Simcoe County Paramedics were called to a house fire on Maplegrove Avenue on May 26 around 2:30am.

Fire Chief Brent Thomas confirmed that Bradford Today that an electric bicycle was “involved” in the fire.

“Our crews knocked down the fire quickly and were able to bring the entire situation under control,” he said.

The occupants of the house were able to evacuate safely.
