Woman hit with baseball bat and crowbar while in car with children in Sheffield terror attack

A woman was injured after she was hit with a baseball bat and crowbar while sitting in her car with her children in Sheffield.

Police were called to Shirecliffe Road at around 4.50pm on Monday, May 27, where they say a woman was approached by two people while sitting in her car.




A man and a woman then assaulted the woman with a baseball bat and crowbar. The woman’s car was also damaged and it is believed that children were in the car at the time of the incident, a spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor head and nose injuries.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and affray and an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage and affray. Officers investigating the attack are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
