Police cordon off Tesco supermarket after ‘incident’

A Black Country Tesco superstore was cordoned off by police today. An ‘incident’ follows around the Willenhall construction site.

A police officer stood guard in the cordon on the Neptune Industrial Estate this afternoon, Tuesday 28 May. Much of the front of the store was closed.




The cordon included an ATM. The ATM shutters were pulled down.

The cars remained parked in the parking lot. The store is normally open for 18 hours between 6am and 12pm.

It is unclear what the incident is about. BirminghamLive has contacted West Midlands Police for comment.
